Shockers are MVC Season Champs!!

Image
Saturday was the last home game for Wichita State and it also was our homecoming game. This game had alot of special moments because we said goodbye to the Beggs, who are retiring this year, we said goodbye to our five seasons: alot of which are some of my favorite players, we celebrated homecoming and we had a net cutting ceremony because the Shockers are MVC SEASON CHAMPS!! I am so proud to be a Shocker, I am always a proud Shocker fan but it so nice to have this season title currently. I am looking forward to watching them play this weekend in the tournament and only hope that we can take that title as well. I wish I was going to St. Louis to watch them play but oh well, it will still be fun!! Here are some pictures from the game.

Happy Valentine's Day

Today marks four months of being married to Payden and our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple. Neither of those are that big of a deal nor a big mile stone but it is nice to just say. lol I surprised him this morning with a gift that he has been wanting. So I am pretty sure that I have this whole “be a good wife” thing in the bag already. If I do say so myself he is pretty lucky to have me be his MRS. This afternoon he picked me up from work so we could go and have a quick lunch together at Old Chicago. It is always nice to just have some time just the two of us. I love our little dates that we get to get randomly. Always makes my day to just spend some quality time with him. When I got home from work we built Vegas her new tower that I got her for Valentine’s Day and there was a gift waiting for me from my husband on my desk. The card was the best part, sweetest man in the world.  l am so lucky to have him.

National Wear Red Day

Today I am supporting two of my favorite causes by wearing Red. The American Heart Asscocation/Go Red Program and Alpha Phi/Alpha Phi Foundation. Heart disease is the number one killer of women in America, and one out of three women will die from some form of heart disease. My family and myself are all effected by heart disease and it is a cause that I will forever support anything to help women be more heart healthy. This morning my mom and sister KC went to the Go Red Breakfast hosted by my mom's company and it was so nice to be around women who are all working toward such an amazing cause and to spend some time with my family.
