My week in photos: round 4

Image
Sunday: finally found my "H" for my collage in the dining room. Thanks to my girl Dannielle for finding it for me after all this time.  Monday: I was rear ended on President's Day.  Wednesday: Wichita State made the cover for Sports Illustrated!  And I picked up my pretty rental car!  And I got my own copy of Sports Illustrated! (or two copies...) Thursday: snuck in a quick dinner with one of my best friends, Mandy and her son (my 'nephew') Tannen and I was given a late Valentine.  Saturday: went to the home Wichita State basketball game with Maggi and watched the team go 29-0 for the season.  Saturday the team also won the title for MVC regular season champions ks we got to watch them take down the net. Cool thing to watch.

President's Day Car Accident

Image
We have had my Galang for almost two years now and I've been so careful to take care of it and yet today I got a car accident on my way home from work. The accident was out if my control, I was rear ended while I was at a complete stop and the impact pushed me into the car in front of me. The guy who hit me was ticketed and put at fault and his insurance company has already called to set up an appointment to get car fixed and have claimed full liability. Thank goodness. Now I just have to get it fixed and go without my car for at least a week. Hello rental car!

Lady Antebellum Concert

Image
Most people spend Valentine’s Day with their loved ones but Kayla and I decided to have a Valentine’s Date of our own and go see the Lady Antebellum concert. Hints why Payden and I did Valentine’s on the Eve of Valentine’s Day… ( movie  date). Kayla is one of my best friends and for sure my concert buddy. We have seen so many country concerts together it is hard to count but it is so much fun and we love it! Last night we went to see Lady Antebellum who is one of my favorite country bands. Kasey  Musgraves  opened for them and she was really good. I didn’t realize that I knew so many of her songs, so that was fun (but not so fun for my  itunes  account/payment wise). Kip Moore was the second opening act, and Kayla and I have seen him before but he was just as good this time around. Plus he gave Wichita State Basketball a shout out during one of my favorite songs by him so that was seriously the coolest thing ever!! Lady Antebellum was amazing. This was the second time Kayla and I saw t

Movie Review: RoboCop

Payden and I had to celebrate Vakentine's Day the day before (Valentine's Day Eve) due to a busy weekend for me. (Explain that later). Anyway what's a better Valentine's date for Payden and than a movie date.  We went to see the new RoboCob movie because we both liked the one from the 80s and because we thought the effects looked great! We were not disappointed. The movie was AMAZING and super enjoyable. Easily a 4 star or higher review! Such a great story line and a wonderful date night for my valentine and I.

Snow Photo Shoot

We decided to take our photographer's  offer to do a mini session in the snow. I've been obsessing over picture ideas from Pinterest and was excited to us them. Here are some of the pictures from the shoot. I'm in love with them.

Movie Review: Prisoners

Image
Our Netflix queue is filled with movies we want to check out/watch. "Prisoners" was one of those movies. I really expected this movie to be amazing but really while watching it all we could think was "this movie is really long". The story line was good but it was just too long. If there wasn't so much dead spade where nothing was really happening then I think the movie would had been better. Maybe a three star rating (I might be being nice).  The acting was good though!
