One the last day of 2016 we finally got me a small SUV. I have been wanting a small SUV for years, even back when I got the fusion but never got one. And since the lease on the fusion was coming to an end we finally decided to check out what my dealerships had to offer and based on pricing and the features we could get we settled on a Mazda CX-5 and I AM IN LOVE! The car is awesome, has heated seats, is so pretty and it fits our family so much better! Started off the new year with a new ride and I was the happiest mom out there! lol

I wanted more than anything for this past Christmas to be one for the memory books since neither of us were in the hospital and it was officially our first Christmas together since Wyatt was home with us! Needless to say having a toddler made my plans not go off the way I wanted them too. We still had a great time but this perfectionist Momma was stressed to the max and even got a little mad that I couldn't keep his attention on the new traditions I wanted to start (silly now to look back on but at the moment I was just frustrated that things weren't "perfect"). The weekend before Christmas we went to the Sunflower Retriever Clubs Christmas party and Wyatt had a blast being shown off to all of his Nonno's friends. The Wednesday before Christmas we spent with my side of the family and Wyatt liked having a small group of people around and getting to see his cousin Hayden. He loved being able to try new foods and liked opening all the presents. ...

((Still way behind on blog post but slowly but surely I am knocking out my list of what needs to be posted!)) First up today! Wyatt's first birthday! Crazy how fast his first year of life went by and how hard I planned for his party. I felt like overall the party was a success, even though I was stressed, he wouldn't let us get a picture of him with his cake and I forgot to have everyone sing him HAPPY BIRTHDAY before I let him smash into his cake. (He was ALLL about smashing into his cake at the party but was not at all about it during his CAKE SMASH SESSION.... that child of mine I swear!) Wyatt's first birthday party was #WyattsWildOne themed and was "Where the Wild Things Are" inspired. It turned out so cute and we had SOOOO many people show up (like 45....like I had to send someone out to get more plates... like I didn't set up enough tables and we had to keep adding tables and  moving decorations... that many people!) Wyatt is such a loved little...

Our photography and friend took the most perfect cake smash session and Kayla helped me set up and let me use her family's land. My vision came to life and it was better than I could imagine! Except Wyatt was not about getting messy.
