4th anniversary trip

This year's anniversary trip was also made into a babymoon of sorts. Two birds with one stone.

We bought had Thursday off so we decided to run some in town errands, household cores and a day date at the zoo! He did propose at the zoo so it's a perfect place to start our anniversary celebration.

Friday morning we headed to Kansas City! When we got to Kansas City we checked into our hotel and headed to our first activity. Every vacation I try and find a history museum/memorial to go to because Payden loves history. So our first activity was to go to the World War I Menirual and Tower. This has to be one of the best memorials that we've been to. It was fun, even for this non history buff.

The tower was awesome although I hate heights it was a cool site to experience.

After we walked around the Union Station which I thought would be much cooler than it was.

We then walked around a really nice shopping area and had dinner at this AH-MAZING pizza restaurant called Coal Vines. Such a great dinner. And first day of vacation.

Saturday we slept in and then went and had breakfast downstairs at the hotel. Breakfast wasn't that good but hey free is free.

Another thing I like to do while we are on vacation is to go to the city's zoo. So Kansas City Zoo was on the agenda!

This zoo was massive and there was a lot of walking involved so this took up a large portion of our day but it was so much fun and we had a great time.

After the zoo we snuck in a quick local fast food lunch and off to the BIGGEST Cabela's I've ever been to. My husband will find a Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop whenever he can.

After Cabela's we walked around the Ledgends Outlet Mall and then went back to the hotel for a good nap.

After our nap we went to a fancy restaurant called McCormick and Schmick's. The food was great and it was a nice treat but I about died looking at the menu pricing.

Sunday morning was another day of hotel free breakfast and then we decided to walk around the shopping center from the first night.

And then we decided to get Cheesecake Factory cheesecake at 10am and it made my pregnancy belly happy!

Then we were off to head back home. We spent the rest of Sunday relaxing at home and ended it by watching the start of the new season of The Walking Dead.

Although we had fun, I don't think that Kansas City would be on our list of places we will vacation at again.
