Movie Review: Jack Reacher

Image
I rented the movie "Jack Reacher" from Netflix for Payden but apparently he had already watched it while he was visiting David. (Of course).  Anyway, the movie was good. You know for a Tom Cruise movie. (He isn't my favorite actor was you can tell.) The only thing is that you really have to follow the story line, which isn't always a bad thing, just giving you the heads up. I really liked the story line of the movie though. It was good!

Movie Review: Insidious Chapter 2

Dannielle and I have been talking about seeing this movie ever since we rewatch  the first one. Finally we were able to go last night to the downtown theater for $5 movie night. Can't get much better than that!  No but seriously, the movie was even better than I expected! It connected so well to the first one and had just enough funny parts to help cancel out the terrifying parts.  I think this one was more scary than then first one, last night I swore I couldn't sleep because I was afraid I world have nightmares. But it was a great movie. I loved it.

Movie Review: Insidious

I couldn't remember if I had seen this movie before so when a few of us girls at work started talking about the new one coming out I decided to rent it from Netflix and have a girl's movie night at my place.  Turns out, I had seen it before but it was still a fun movie night and they movie was still great. I love scary movies and this one kept me interested and questioning the whole way through. It was pretty creepy and I loved every minute of it.  The girls and I cannot wait to see Part II here soon!

Meeting Bobby Bones (and friends)

Working at the place that I do comes with many benefits. Thanks to the fact our owner also owns another dealership in town we get twice the amount of access to fun events. For years I have been obsessed with the Bobby Bones morning show and this year they have been on a small charity show for a charity that Amy started. When they announced that they would be Midwest Kia (the other dealership owned by our owner at Rusty Eck Ford) I knew I wanted to go!  What I didn't expect was that I'd get two VIP passes! Which meant I got to meet Bobby Bones, Amy and Eddie as well as a country artist Laura Bell Bundy that was touring with them. It was like a dream come true. I had all of these funny things in my head that I could say but once I got up there, I ended up just laughing because I'm socially awkward.  But it was totally worth it and a lot of fun. Here are some of my pictures from the night.  ---------------Update-------------- The

Movie Review: Riddick

Image
Payden has always loved the Riddick movies and I had never watched them before. The girls at work and I decided that we would do a triple date to see the new one with our husbands because they all like them. So that meant I had to finally watch the others.  After watching the others I was really excited to see the new one. The triple date was so much fun and everyone loved the movie. It had action and humor. Everything that a good movie needs. If you liked the others then you will love this one. It was so good! High B/low A on the grading scale.  We had a great time on our triple date and can't wait to have more. Such a fun night out.

Our life lately...

Life lately for us has been pretty steady but there have been some exciting events as well… Payden went to Georgia to visit his best friend David for a week. It seems the boys had a lot of fun, but being boys they didn’t take many photos of their trip.  The pictures they did take (the two) were of them drinking, I hope that they did more on their week together then just drink. I turned 24 on the 3 rd , one of the last birthdays I plan on getting excited about  (LOL) . Hopefully year 24 will be a good one. The girls at work did a great job decorating my office and spoiling me. And I got off early the day of my actual birthday to pick Payden up from his trip.  The night of my birthday we went out to his parents’ house (because I didn’t do laundry the whole week he was gone…) and I opened a few presents there. I opened the gifts that Payden “got me” (more like I picked out, bought and wrapped and put his name on) and the new Sperry’s that his parents got me. The day after my birthday, we

Movie Review: Snitch

Payden came home yesterday! And yesterday was my birthday! So we spent a part of our afternoon curled up on the couch watching a movie that we got from Netflix. I am an obsession with movies that “The Rock” is in so I had been wanting to watch that movie since it came out. Payden just really likes action movies so it was something that we both could enjoy. Out of the movies that we have rented lately it was one of the better one. It was kind of slow at parts and not nearly as much action as we expected but it was good. The story line worked well, I think the movie would have been better with more action but it was a pretty decent movie over all. I would maybe a B/B- on the grading scale. Overall we enjoyed it and it was a good movie date in our apartment after Payden being gone for a week.

Movie Review: House at the End of the Street

Image
My Netflix marathon has continued and last night I finally was able to watch “House at the End of the Street” with Jennifer Lawrence in it. I had been waiting to watch this movie when Payden wasn’t home because he isn’t that big of a fan of scary movies like I am. The movie was overall pretty good, kind of slow at times but the ending was kind of twisted and I liked that. It wasn’t all that scary, like jumpy scary, more of a suspense movie, which I really like. I really liked the movie,  it wasn’t really what I expected but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. It was a good movie. Maybe like a B on the grading scale…   On a side note: I have been told by several people that the movie “Pain and Gain” with  Markie - Mark  and  the Rock is awful, my husband even said that. So I will not be watching that no matter how much I love those two men.  On another side note: The cast has been picked for the “50 Shades of Grey” movie and CHARLIE HUNNAM IS GOING TO BE CHRISTIAN GREY! As I have previous
