Kansas State Fair 2014

Wrapping up my birthday week Payden and I made the random decision today (Sunday) to drive the hour and a half drive to Hutchinson to go to the Kansas State Fair. 

We actually haven't attended the State Fair for a few years now so it was fun and different. We had a lot of fun (but I remember it being more fun earlier in life (does that mean I'm getting old)). 

We had fun overall though and it was nice to do something that we don't do often. Plus we got PRONTO PUPS (corn dogs at the fair (hands down my favorite part!))

Homemade NuWay Burgers

Growing up in Wichita, Kansas my husband has always known about the 'crumply burgers' at NuWay. I on the other hand had never heard of such a thing and never had the nerve to try the restaurant chain that I had never heard of. Yet since we have been dating since high school he eventually got me to try it and I have loved them ever since. When we moved out on our own I wanted to try and save money and figured I could make the 'crumply burgers' myself. After some trial and error I have come up with a recipe that works perfectly for us. A friend asked me to share the recipe, remember that I am not a chef though so there are no real measurements for the recipe but more of a "do what you feel is right". Wyatt’s 2nd Birthday!

I guess I forgot to write about Wyatt’s 2nd birthday, and that makes me said because that was such a fun party to plan since he actually has things he shows interest in now! Wyatt's 2nd birthday party was Elmo themed and it turned out so good! I am Kinda over board on planning and have “Pinterest perfect” parties by I love every bit of the crazy my planning makes me.

This jacket was Brent's when he was a toddler and Payden wore it when he was a toddler and now Wyatt is wearing it. It's so cool to see him in these hand me downs. And I even found pictures of Payden wearing the jacket to compare.
