Our (5th and 10th) Anniversary Trip

Our five year wedding anniversary and our ten year anniversary of being together was October 14th.

I got a free trip to Oklahoma City through my work so we took a couple of days off to hang out and celebrate.

We left Friday early afternoon and made a stop outside of OKC for lunch at a burger place a coworker told us about. The food was good but it was kinda pricey for burgers.

Once we got into the city and settled into our hotel we explored the brickyard (our hotel was right across the street). And Payden let me try every wine at a little winery.

After spending most of the afternoon walking around the brickyard and hanging out we went back to the hotel to rest and then get ready for our anniversary dinner date.

That night we celebrated our anniversary with a dinner date at this Italian restaurant on the brickyard which was AMAZING!  We sat outside and enjoyed the food and people watched. It was a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.

That next mornings slept in and then  we woke up and had our hotel breakfast before exploring the brickyard some more.

After that we went to this huge gun store that Payden found the last time we were in OKC and walked around that for a bit.

After that we visited the inside museum for the OKC bombing. We love museums and this one was so informative and so well done. We were there for like two hours and easily could had been there for two more. So emotional and informative.

We then went and walked around the outlet mall area and ended up only buying things for Wyatt. (We were totally missing our little dude!)

After that we headed back to the brickyard area and explored and tried this could Taco stand restaurant and a candy shop before going back to the hotel to change and rest.

Later that night we went to a bar called Tapwerks that was wall to wall beer taps and Payden had so much fun trying new beers.

Sunday morning we again slept in and had hotel breakfast before packing up and heading to look at the outdoor part of the bombing museum.

After that we headed home. But not before stopping on Guthrie at a restaurant that Brent recommended calls "The Stables". I didn't get a picture there but the food was so good!! But we were on the road quickly after because we missed our little man!!

Such a fun trip but a hard one too. I like that we made the decision to take some time just the two of us though! Hopefully we can continue this yearly trip!
