ANOTHER MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!

Image
The announcement has been made social media public so I can finally write about it.  Payden will not be the only one who started a new job in 2014: so will I! I have accepted a job offer from another car dealership to make over twice as what I make now. I am so excited for this new adventure but also sad to be leaving my Rusty Eck Ford "family".  Here is the social media announcement!

Random Tuesday-ness

Image
I absolutely love getting Tuesdays off to spend time with Payden (and Vegas).  Today when I got out of the shower this is what I saw, and hands down it has to be the cutest thing in the world. I love my little family.  And we saw a movie and had a great movie and dinner date. My favorite kind of date. Read previous post for movie review.  And last important thing about this random day off: I got a new state love necklace. Obsessed!

Movie Review: X-Men: Days of Future Past

Image
Another Tuesday off together and another movie/dinner date with my amazing husband.  And another Marvel movie under our belts.  We have seen (and own) all of the other movies of this series so it was a must that we had to see this movie.  And it did not disappoint! I absolutely loved the story line and plot twist in this movie and I have always loved the characters of X-Men. Not to negation the X-Men movies are always filled with some humor so that is always a plus!  I'd give this movie a 5 star rating just like most Marvel movies! So good and I recommend everyone should go see it if they are like us and see every Marvel movie without fail.

What I'm Reading: 3rd Addition

Image
I decided to take a break from the Divergebt book series so I can fit in "A Fault In Our Stars" before seeing the movie in theater.  This book is amazing but so emotional. I'm not normally a cryer but this book brought me to tears several times. I can't even imagine what the movie will be like.  The story is so beautiful and this is such an amazing book but be prepared for a emotional ride. It is not a light reading by any means.

Memorial Day Weekend 2014

Image
First off I would like to start this post off by saying thanks. Thank you to all the men and women who have worked hard and given their lives for this country. Almost a year ago Payden and I made the decision to try for him to join the USAF. And although that didn't work out we are happy now with our life and are constantly grateful for those who serve.  Friday I kind of had a shopping problem (story of my life).  New pink Pampered Chef.  New Origami Owl charms!  And a ton of new tops.  Sunday we celebrated Brent's 50th birthday (which is May 26th) and Memorial Day with a BBQ at their house with close family and friends.  Sunday again: we always see ducks swimming in the pools at our apartment complex. Too cute! Monday: I finally finished the second book in the Divergebt series and before reading the third one I decided to start reading "A Fault In Our Stars" because a couple of friends of mine want to go see the movie together once I'm done.  With Payden working

Movie Review: Ride Along

Image
Our day off together has been made out to be a movie day. We just got around to watching "Ride Along" thanks to Netflix mailing it to us.  Overall the movie was good and decent funny but not as funny as I though it would be which was kind of a bummer. So overall I'd give the movie a 3 star rating. It was a decent rental but I'm glad that we didn't see it in theaters and we won't be owning it.

Movie Review: Godzilla

Image
I have started taking Tuesdays off to spend time with Payden since his "weekends" are Tuesday and Wednesday.  I'm loving taking time off with him because the rest of the week I feel like we don't get quality time together.  Today on our day off we finally went to go see the new "Godzilla" movie. It was so good! Kind of long for my liking but worth it because the effects of the movie were amazing. Giving the movie a star rating I'd say a 4.5 stars. It was really good and was a perfect little day date with the husband.

My weekend (plus a day or two) : May 15th-19th

Image
Another busy weekend for me. Not to mention it was Payden's first weekend working so that was weird and I've been fighting off a head cold.  Wednesday: Dannielle and I went and helped Shelby register her for her baby shower! I found what I want when I have a child!!  Thursday: Bitchy Bingo for Larry's LLS campaign.   Friday: new kitchen towels for the spring that I found in the dollar section of target.  Friday again: I am slowly converting my kitchen to my pink theme to match my kitchenaid mixer. Here's the new rug for the kitchen.  Saturday: I attended the wedding of my sorority sister Kelsey and her now husband Dan. Sadly I didn't get a picture with the beautiful bride but I assure you that she looked amazing and the wedding was beautiful. I am so happy for them!  But I did get a picture with two of my best friends/sorority sisters: Mandy and Kayla.     Sunday: we had the Taste and See event for Larry's LLS campaign. A five course meal and it was a lot of fun

Ivy Circle Dinner

Image
Since going alumni in Alpha Phi the May before our wedding I haven't done much with the young alumni group/"ivy circle" because I wanted to give myself some space from sorority life and focus on married life, finishing college and work.  Not to mention a lot of the events that were planned where at times that didn't work out for me.  But last night I decided to make the step and get into post college sorority life. We have a group dinner at On The Border and I had a lot of fun. It is moments like these that remind me the reasons why I love the sisterhood and help me forget about the drama and had times.  I am forever grateful that I joined the sisterhood and I an glad that I reminded myself of that last night.  Here are two pictures from last night.  And a random picture of my princess cat because this is what I came home to after the dinner.

Out with the old, in with the new

Well we had to say goodbye to our beloved Mitsubishi Galant because we got into ANOTHER car accident. I swear this car has had bad luck.  Last night we were tboned heading home from Payden's parent's house. Our car was totaled out by insurance so that means we had to buy a new car.  Here are the photos from the accident:     So today we decided that we might as well get a BRAND NEW car! So say hello to our 2014 Ford Fusion!!
