My week in photos: round 3

Image
Sunday: My Final Four DVD came in!! Came in yesterday but we didn't check the mail, obviously since it is Sunday and all.  Monday: we reviewed a new chair for our living room from a family friend. And Vegas seems to like it, probably because she knows it's her dad's. (Our goal now is to figure out how to get her not to scratch it.  Tuesday: "I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22". Game day with Maggi to watch WSU go 22-0!  Thursday:  Vegas just spent 5 minutes getting comfortable in our kitchen sink....   Yay new jewelry from our Premier Jewelry party!  Friday:  Yay! New Pampered Chef!   Apparently the reusable grocery bags makes for a perfect car bed.   DIY bracelet holder!  Saturday: my last jewelry organization item and the whole display of my jewelry boxes/stands!  Wichita State went 23-0 after Saturday's game. I sat with the work friends/group.  Cuddle time with dad holding her dad's hand.

Movie Review: The Last Stand

Image
You gotta love Netflix movie nights with your best friend, mine just happens to be my husband. Tonight's movie was his pick. We watched "The Last Stand". A total guy movie: cars, guns, fighting and all you can image in a Arnold Achwarzenegger movie.  Needless to say Payden loved the movie. It wasn't half bad but it isn't my favorite by any means. For a guy it is a good movie but for me I would give it like a three star rating. Not too bad and pretty entertaining overall.

Movie Review: Hansel And Gretel Witch Hunters

I have always been a fan of twist on the classic story book tale so this movie was right up my alley. I mean I was an English Literature major in college so I'm a big reader as it is.  This movie was actually Prett good considering I hadn't heard many good things about it. So when Payden and I decided to watch it on our Netflix I wasn't expecting too much.  But really I found this movie super entertaining and even slightly funny at times. Fun story line, great acting, and effects.  Overall I would give this movie a four star rating. It was actually pretty good!! Better than I expected!

Movie Review: 2 Guns

Image
Payden and I are so thankful for Netflix. We get to watch all the movies we wanted to see on our own time.  This evening we finally got the chance to watch "2 Guns". Like I've mentioned a million times before (and will mention a million times again) I love Mark Wahlberg and we wanted to see this movie since we saw the previews.  This movie was pretty good overall. A pretty good storyline, great actors and some humor. It was overall pretty entertaining. I'd give it a 4 star rating. I recommend watching it if you haven't seen it yet and have been wanting to see it.

My week in photos: Round 2

Monday: these Target dollar section Valentine kitchen towels may be my favorite purchase ever!  New shocker tshirt came in! I'm so obsessed I went back and made another order to get it in black!  Finally out together our floating frame of some wedding things. I may or may not have cut my hand in the process...    Tuesday: GAME DAY with Maggi against Bradley. Bringing the season to 18-0!!!!  Thursday: Vegas decided to hide behind her mom's purse that was hanging on the chair.  Friday: the sync department celebrated saying goodbye to Branda who is moving on to a new job. She will be missed at Rusty Eck Ford.    Shelby and Dannielle did a flashback to the 90s with the paper fortune teller that we all did in junior high.  Saturday: Shocker game with some of the work friends. Shockers are now 19-0! Loving this season!  Saturday night:  Bowling with almost all the Horth siblings and mom. I'm finally not the only one with a significant other!   Sunday: started the day off by throw

Movie Review: Lone Survivor

Image
Oh my lord I cannot put into words how amazing this movie is. If there is any movie that would make you proud to be an American and to completely appreciate those who serve this would be the movie.  The story line is unbelievable (I'll be buying the book here soon!) and the acting is incredible! The emotions I felt throughout the movie were so real and at times I was completely overwhelmed with emotions and fighting back tears.  Hands down this movie was totally worth seeing on theaters and was easily a five stars rating. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

Movie Review: Despicable Me 2

Image
We saw the first one in theaters and LOVED it so this past year I decided to just go ahead and buy the second one on DVD and give it to myself as a Christmas gift (that's how Christmas gifts go in our place typically: I buy and wrap everything and put his name on them).  Well we have finally gotten around to watching it and we loved it as well. Probably around 4 stars on the scale: super funny and cute! I just love the minions! If you liked the first one then you would love this one as well!!

Throwback Thursday: 7+ years ago

Image
This is my FAVORITE picture of Payden and I when we first started dating. This is from the NYE right after we first started dating like 7+ years ago. We were such babies then. I can't believe everything that we've gone through but he is the best person I could had ever imagined marrying!!

My week in photos:

I'm going to try and do this every once in awhile. I got the idea from one of the blogs that I follow. Here is round one: let's see how it goes.  I've decided to do Sunday through Subday, so it's actually more than a week but oh well.  Sunday: Once the snow melted it comes  back, welcome to the cycle of Wichita weather. Payden brought in some of the snow for Vegas to check out. She was interested until her nose got too cold.  Shocker game with some of the friends from work. Where the shockers went 15-0 for the season!!  Monday and Tuesday: both days I ended up buying a new top  from my favorite boutique.  Wednesday: started the day off using my Kuerig and this adorable travel mug!  Bought a NBA jersey tshirt for a former WSU player who is now playing for the NY Knicks!  Ended Wednesday with another home basketball game with Maggi watching the Shockers  go 16-0!!  Thursday: coach snuggle time with my little family. Vegas is so cute!  Saturday:  Shared the biggest pizza e

Movie Review: World War Z

Image
Like I said in the last post our weekend nights this weekend have been spent with Netflix rentals. Tonight we got to finally watch "World War Z". We again has been meaning to see this, but we don't always get to see things in theater like we want just due to our lives and schedules. Plus if we saw every movie that we wanted to our budget wouldn't be working the way it has been. (I work really hard to make sure we stick in a budget and can put some money into savings while paying our bills).  Anyway we had heard many good things about this movie and let me tell you, it was worth all the hype. This movie was hands down amazing and a total five star rating. I'd give it higher even. It was SO GOOD!!  I even bought the book awhile ago and have been ;agaib( meaning to read it but haven't had time so now I'm even more excited to start the book eventually!!

Movie Review: Identity Thief

Image
This weekend has been somewhat busy with work and other activities so we've been spending our evenings inside having Netflix movie dates: my favorite type of date night really.  Last night we finally got the chance to watch "Idenity Thief". I so wanted to see this movie the moment I saw the previews because I'm obsessed when both of those actors and we loved "Horruvle Bosses". But "Horrible Bosses" was the better movie out of the two.  Overall "Idenity Thief" was good and pretty funny but it could had been better. I would give it three out of five stars. Totally worth the Netflix rental. And I do recommend it but it won't be on my favorite movies list.

Married before 23?

The last couple of days single friends on Facebook have been posting this overly rude blog post about 23 things to do before getting engaged at 23. The moment I read this blog I literally was beyond irritated. In order to understand my next comments you must read the  blog post . My immediate response was like such: "I am beyond proud to have married my husband young, it gives us more time to spend together. We still travel, we adopted a pet, he is my best friend and we work better together as a team than we ever did before. Sorry that you are jealous that we are happy but I will gladly prove your little statistics wrong. My marriage is beyond perfect for the two of us and that is all that matters". My best friend Mandy and some of my friends who have all been married before turning 23 were all outraged by this blog post and all have wrote things about how we are proud of the marriages that we are in. So today Mandy posted this article about 23 things that you can do WITH
