What I'm Reading: 1st Edition

Another blog that I follow has started talking about her reading list and as many people know I am an avid reader. I mean, I did major in English Literature in college. I invested in a Nook two birthdays ago and I haven't looked back! I love my nook and I almost always read books on it. I very rarely buy actual books now. 

So I'm going to start these list with the book I just finished (and finally getting to see the movie for tonight). Divergant. I had heard so many good things about the book series, and I am a big fan of the Hunger Games series so I knew I needed to get around to reading it. When I saw that they were making a movie about it I knew I needed to get on the ball of reading it because I have always been they person who has to read the book before watching the movie. (Hints why I still haven't seen Eat, Pray, Love). 

Let me tell you this book did not disappoint. It was a little hard to follow at the start but once you get the theme down it makes so much sense and is such a fun ride. I have always liked books like these that make you escape from your normal life to something completely different but yet imaginable. 

I am excited to see the movie tonight! (Expect the movie review to follow). Once I see the movie I will allow myself to read the next two books in the series! I am excited!

Growing up in Wichita, Kansas my husband has always known about the 'crumply burgers' at NuWay. I on the other hand had never heard of such a thing and never had the nerve to try the restaurant chain that I had never heard of. Yet since we have been dating since high school he eventually got me to try it and I have loved them ever since. When we moved out on our own I wanted to try and save money and figured I could make the 'crumply burgers' myself. After some trial and error I have come up with a recipe that works perfectly for us. A friend asked me to share the recipe, remember that I am not a chef though so there are no real measurements for the recipe but more of a "do what you feel is right". This jacket was Brent's when he was a toddler and Payden wore it when he was a toddler and now Wyatt is wearing it. It's so cool to see him in these hand me downs. And I even found pictures of Payden wearing the jacket to compare.

Wyatt’s 2nd Birthday!

I guess I forgot to write about Wyatt’s 2nd birthday, and that makes me said because that was such a fun party to plan since he actually has things he shows interest in now! Wyatt's 2nd birthday party was Elmo themed and it turned out so good! I am Kinda over board on planning and have “Pinterest perfect” parties by I love every bit of the crazy my planning makes me.
