Weekend Wrap-up (June 29th really)

Image
Saturday this past weekend was filled with work and then my passing out at home while Payden was at work.  Sunday on the other hand was a packed with a few fun events. First off it was finally Shelby's baby shower and it went so perfectly! I am so excited for her to be a mom and I can't wait to meet Mr. Cash.  Here are some (maybe a lot) photos from the baby shower!  After the shower I rushed home and changed and then was off again to have dinner with Kayla at Crackle Barrell and then the Jake Owen concert. The concert was so much fun and super entertaining! I even saw Bryce, Brenda, Brittney and Brooke.  Here are some pictures from the concert.

My week in photos: Round 11

I know I haven't done this in awhile and this week there aren't that many photos but there were a few important things that happened!  First things first, I'm loving my new job and I really like my coworkers. The hours are longer so I find myself more tired, but overall I truly am happy and I'm excited to see how it goes in the long run.  After my first weekend I got my five free polos to wear to work and I was super excited!  Secondly CLEANTHONY EARLY got drafted! And to the same team that Toure Murry currently plays for! Yay New York Knicks!  And lastly Dannielle and I attended that LLS Wrap Up Party and somehow agreed to be on committee for next year... Lol

Goodbye Rusty Eck Ford

Image
Today was my last day working at Rusty Eck Ford. My sync girls got me the most perfect cake and we had a lot luck like lunch to celebrate my last day. I will truly miss working with these girls and cherish the friendships I share with them. Payden even got to come up and have lunch with all of us. Which means so much to me.  Here are some pictures from the celebration today during lunch.  Then tonight I had a small dinner with some past and current coworkers at Felipe's which was full of laughs and all of us sharing stories of our time at Rusty Eck Ford. A perfect ending to the day.  I will really miss working at Rusty Eck, I have come to love so many of the people and there were so many good times there but I am excited to move on and to see what this new job has in store for me.

What I'm Reading: 4th Edition

Image
Back to the "Divergent" series to read the third and last book.  But I must say this is my least favorite book out of the three. The first two books are in one single speaker's viewpoint but for some reason this book switches between two people's  viewpoints each chapter. I hated that from the start of reading and I find that if makes the read take longer to get through.  But other then that the storyline is good and is a nice way to wrap up the story/series. Even though the ending was sad (and my sister Tiffani kinda ruined it by telling be about the ending before I finished it.)

I Have a Problem... A Coach Problem

Image
Ever since I bought my first Coach purse and wallet I've been obsessively looking at their sales and it doesn't help that I have a friend who works at Coach who keeps me posted on sales too.  This (again) is my first Coach purchase and I am in love with it!  Then I went and bought this adorable sparkly wristlet!  And I'm currently waiting for my Christmas present to be sent out. A new purse and wallet set that I got for 65% off online, that is seriously adorable and I'm obsessed with.  And my friend Claire (who is the one that works at Coach) is letting me check out some purses that are on a major sale for her tomorrow. Might be getting myself my birthday or anniversary present early!  This is a major obsession. Hopefully once I get a small collection that I can switch around I will slow down.  New things excite me. But starting next week getting our savings set up for building our house is going into overdrive so my fun spending will be slowed down by my own doing. As

Movie Review: A Fault in Our Stars

Image
Tonight my friend Tristan and I went downtown to see "A Fault in Our Stars" for $5 movie night BUT it was all sold out so after a change in plans we drove across town to see the movie in the balcony (which is Payden and I's favorite place to see movies). The fun thing was that it was Tristan's first time in the balcony and I'm glad I could introduce it to her.  Now onto the movie: IT WAS AMAZING! So beautiful and emotional just like the book and it kept to the story line so well. I loved the acting. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful the book and the movie both are!  This movie (and book) are easily a five star rating. But if you are going to see the movie of read the book have tissues close by, you'll need them!

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Man/Woman of Year Gala

June 7th was the last day of the ten weeks of campaigning for Larry Provo and I could not be more proud of all of our hard work!!  Although there were moments when Dannielle and I were stressed and wanted to give up we were so blessed to have had the chance to work for this cause and meet all the people that we did through the campaign!!  In more important news LARRY WON MAN OF THE YEAR! Our campaign team raised little over $81,000 in the ten weeks! How amazing is that?! I can't even put into words how proud I am.  But I am so glad that it is over, I'm exhausted and ready for some relaxing days ahead of me!  Here are some pictures from the event!

BACKSTREET BOYS CONCERT!

Image
Last night my two best friends, Dannielle and Mandy, and Sheryl (Mandy's mom) and I drove to Oklahoma City to see the BACKSTREET BOYS! We all left, in my car (talk about nerve racking and emotional for me) Wichita a little after one (actually closer to two) and headed down to OKC.  Since we left so early we had enough time to stop by the outlet malls and do a little shopping. Which was bad for my bank account because I finally bought a Coach purse and wallet and about died with the amount. But I got a great deal and saved almost $400.  But still--NERVE RACKING!  After shopping we headed to the concert and got to the arena right as doors were opening (talk about perfect timing). As we were waiting for the concert to start we got some food and picked up our concert tshirts.  Once we got to our seats we were so excited! The seats were great! But someone came up to speak on stage to announce that due to sudden illness Avril Lavigne was not going to perform!! Talk about a bummer!  A coo

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Image
Happy birthday to the amazing man I was lucky enough to marry. I can't believe you are 25. I hope this year is one of the best ones of our lives. Thank you for your constant love and support. I really wouldn't be who I am today without by my side. I love you so much. Happy birthday butthead! (PS: happy national donut day!)

Early Birthday Wednesday

Image
With all of our work schedules and the fact I'm going out of town on Friday (their actual birthday) all of the Hamiltons (my in-laws and us) decided to celebrate Payden and Paige's birthdays. They share a birthday. My husband will be turning 25 on Friday and my sister in law will be turning 20.  Our early birthday celebration consisted of steaks, grilled veggies and the birthday kids choices of desserts. Payden picked dirt pudding (like a 7 year old) and Paige picked apple crisp.  Here are some pictures from our little get together.  And today felt like we were celebrating birthday week for me as well. (Birthday week isn't a joke, we take birthdays very seriously). I got a bunch of new tops/tunics in the mail today.  I hate ending a post without showing off Vegas. I got this adorable new picture of her after we put a bandana on her.
