Cat Chronicles #4

I know, I know I just wrote a post about our cat yesterday..Sorry, I love her! This happened last night and I felt the need to share it! This blog is for people who choose to follow it to keep up with our lives, but in all reality it may only be for me to document everything we go through to look back upon later in life. If that is the case, so be it. I don’t do this for entertainment for others, I do this for the love of writing and for the fact that I truly love my life, and my relationship and want to look back at a later date to see what we have gone through.

--Awhile ago Almost a year ago we bought Vegas cat 6 foot cat tower for our living room. And ever since then she has been OBSESSED with it, which I guess is the point of it. But she is always sitting on the top level and watching everything we do in the living room. But last night was the funniest event ever. She was perched up as tall/long as she could get on the top level staring off into the center of the ceiling, trying her hardest to figure out a way for her to be able to jump into the air and kill the fly or mosquito that was sitting in the center of the ceiling. Seriously, I wish we had gotten a video of it because the movements she was making with her head and body while she was thinking were the funniest thing ever. I may have watched her for a good 30 minutes before I told her dad to go get a towel to kill it. (I mean let’s be real, there is NO WAY I will be doing that…bugs are gross). Here is a picture of the way she was sitting. I at least got a photo, but a video would have been better.

--We have a fireplace in our apartment and we have placed our big screen TV in front of the opening because the fireplace is not for use but for looks… so really there is no point to having it. Well Vegas being the sneaky animal that she is has figured out a way to wiggle herself behind the TV to get into the fireplace. So she just hides out in there apparently… always coming out with dust and such on her paws… This connects to the next story.

--As I have said before, Vegas cat loves playing in water; it is really one of the strangest yet funniest things to watch. She has grown to have this habit of jumping into the shower after we have gotten out and plays with the water that is still in/on the tub. Yesterday Payden and I both came home to find little cat footprints in our shower, just proving that Vegas has an obsession with playing in it while we are gone. I am assuming the reason we had proof of her actions is because she had either just gotten out of the fireplace with dust all over her paws or she had just gotten done using playing in her litter box. Either way there were little gray footprints in our bathtub. Here are our pictures to prove it… please ignore the mess… remember we are both working 40+ hours a week and have a lot of studying to do for his Air Force test. Not to mention we live in a very old apartment with awful lighting and these photos were taken with my iPhone. Our bathrooms are actually pretty clean because I tend to be a little OCD.
